Case Description
Off The Eaten Path is Halifax’s first ever Asian Food Festival in partnership with Lumi Studios, Downtown Business Association, Spring Garden Area Business Association, TD Bank and Develop NS. Within six weeks, Off The Eaten Path recruited 26 Asian Food Businesses to participate in the 3-day festival with a specialty dish and collaborated with Develop NS to bring Asian Food Carnival to Halifax’s waterfront for a day.
As a freelance designer, I worked with the event’s marketing team to produce a series of visual identity materials, which included brand colors, typography, identity icon, poster, stickers, flyers, signages and social media posts.
The design brief includes: modern, urban, fun, youthful, active, bright colours, jump out of the stereotype of Asian Food, do not use traditional symbols, a combination of photography and strong graphics/typography style.
